II. APPOINTMENT

The act of appointing : designation of a person to hold an office or discharge a trust ; as ; he erred by the appointment of unsuitable men.

        The state of being appointed of som / service of office ; an office to which one appointed ; station ; position ; an appointment of treasurer.

Making an Appointment :

                         I’d like to make an appointment with . . .

                         I want to make an appointment to see . . .

                         I’d like you to come and see.

                         Can I come and see you ?

                         I’ll be there . . .

                         What about . . . ?

                         Could we meet today ?

Accepting an Appoinment :

                         All right see you there.

                         No problem, I’m free on (Friday).

                         Be there , on time.

                         I’ll wait for you there.

                         It’s a deal.

Changing an Appointment :

                         What about . . . . (Thursday at 02.00 PM).

                         Is that ok if we meet at 08.00 tomorrow night ?

                         Would you mind if we change the day (time) of the meeting ?

Appointment tells about agreement for meeting. It’s good to make an appointment before you meet someone or people.
