Standard Competency

       To comprehend and express the meanings of spoken and written short functional text about announcement in the context of daily life to access knowledge.

Basic Competency

        To respond and express the meanings within the formal / informal spoken and written short functional text in the form of announcement, advertisement, invitation  accurately and fluently in the daily life context to access knowledge.

Indicators

After finishing the lesson, the students are expected to be able to:

•          identify the topic or the purpose of a spoken announcement

•      give spoken announcement

•          read aloud the written passage of an announcement in the meaningful way and with good pronunciation and intonation

•          identify the topic of a written announcement use the appropriate grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, spelling and other writing rules

       accurately

The definition of Announcement

            Announcement is something said, written, or printed to make know what happened or (more often) what will happen.

§ Guys.. berikut ini pengertian Announcement (pengumuman) dalam Bahasa Indonesia, biar kalian semua lebih mengerti :

          Pemberitahuan resmi tentang suatu upaya diketahui orang banyak. Pengumuman dapat ditulis lalu ditempelkan pada papan pengumuman agar dilihat orang banyak, bisa juga diumumkan secara lisan.

-      Jelas gak pengertiannya teman? (jelas kok.. J) -Bagus ^^

=) In writing an announcement, keep the following points :

 ~ The title / type of event

 ~ Date / time

 ~ Place

 ~ Contact person

=) We can find the announcement on : Television, radio, newspaper, billboard, magazine,etc.

 

Example of Announcement :

Your attention please.. We found a wallet with some importants documents and money in it. Anyone who lose the wallet, please come to the information come the information center in the second floor. Please meet Aliana. Thank you, ^^           The next is called an announcement. The announcement above is delivered by information center clerk. She announces about the finding of a wallet.

          In delivering an announcement, its should be clear.. So, the targeted people can easily understand it.

Dear Members,

I am proud to announce that we will be hosting a monthly writing contest entitled "Inspirational Post of the Month" in the Creative Writing forum. The winner will be announced after the 25th of each month. All works posted during the previous month will be considered.

There are several important issues that we would like to bring to your attention:
1. Acceptable forms of works of literature for the contests are: poem, essay, article, short story etc.
2. All entries must meet basic literary criteria.
3. All entries must be original (i.e. written by you and not copied).
We are working hard to make this contest an event that everyone will enjoy and remember. If you have any questions regarding the contest, please feel free to contact us.
